Hello and welcome

Welcome to
bluebird counselling

private counselling practice based
in Basildon and Rochford In Essex.

I am and experienced, qualified
and BACP registered Person-Centred Counsellor, and I am Relate Trained in Couples Counselling.

I believe that everyone has the potential to live a happy and fulfilling life. Yet there are times when challenges, stress, or unexpected life events can make this feel out of reach. In these moments, it can be hard to manage alone — and you don’t have to.

I am a person-centred trained counsellor, which means compassion, empathy, and understanding are at the core of my work with individuals. I later completed specialist training with Relate, the UK’s leading provider of relationship support, which fully qualifies me to work with couples and relationships. Whether you are seeking support with personal struggles or wanting to strengthen your relationship, counselling offers a safe, confidential space to reflect, gain clarity, and move forward.

Often, the challenges we face in the present are shaped by experiences from the past. Patterns of thought, behaviour, or relating that once helped us cope can sometimes hold us back later in life. Therapy provides the opportunity to gently explore these influences — not to dwell on the past, but to understand it, and to find new ways of creating change in the here and now.

Through individual therapy, you can explore what may be holding you back, deepen your self-understanding, and build greater confidence and balance. In couples therapy, I provide a supportive and structured environment where both partners feel heard, with compassionate guidance and respectful challenge to improve communication, rebuild trust, and foster deeper connection.

My aim is to help you make sense of what is preventing you from living the life and relationships you want. With insight and support, counselling can create the conditions for meaningful change — enabling you to move toward a life that feels more connected,
authentic, and fulfilling.
